Welcome to Wallenda Enterprises; official home of
The World Famous Wallenda Troupe. We offer
thrills, stunts and highwire entertainment. From
daredevil acts to theatrical  entertainment, The World
Famous Wallenda's provide top-notch, quality
entertainment. As a Guinness book of World Record
holder, Rick Wallenda endeavours to bring more
record breaking events to the books with the troupe.
Their entertainment goes beyond the traditional
limitations of the past, but honors those who built the
traditions that  made the Wallenda name what it is
today. More than 200 years of entertainment
experience is now combined with professional writers
and artists as the 21st century opens new pathways.
The Wallenda Family

On these pages the Wallenda family presents many aspects of circus history, professional high wire
thrills, skywalks, entertainment and the individuals involved who built these traditions. You will meet
all the members of
The World Famous Wallenda Troupe performing against the backdrop of these
traditions.
The patriarch,
Karl Wallenda, and his wife of more than forty years, Helen Wallenda, brought the
original troupe to the Ringling Brothers Circus. Older brother Herman Wallenda, and family friend Joe
Geiger, toured with the act for many years. The foursome increased in size eventually creating the
famed seven, and once an eight-person pyramid.
Karl established the Wallenda dynasty with his two daughters, Jenny Wallenda, and Carla Wallenda.
Each generation added to the traditions. Karl’s grand-children from his first wife, Martha Henderson,
Tino Wallenda-Zoppe, Delilah Wallenda Troffer, and Tammy Wallenda, children of Jenny, formed
their own troupes. Carla, Helen’s daughter, helped train her children Rick Wallenda, Rietta Wallenda,
Mario Wallenda, and Valerie Wallenda. They remained with the original troupe, The Great
Wallendas, and continued after the death of their grandfather.
Now another generation follows these same traditions, Nicholas Troffer dba Nik Wallenda, his sister
Lijana, and cousins, Alex Wallenda, sisters Aurelia, Alida, and Andrea, still tour under their respective
names, the Flying Wallendas, the Fabulous Wallendas, or use of many other substitute adjectives.
Rick Wallenda still heads the families’ original enterprise—Wallenda Enterprises—exceeding the
limits of tradition as The World Famous Wallendas.
Karl learned highwire on a steel cable, rather than the older tightrope. All Wallenda troupes continue
to look to new technology making highwire safer, better, and more thrilling. Even the ropes are now
made of synthetic materials, lasting longer, and providing greater stability.
